Hush df 10 joist insulation strips have been designed as an economical acoustic layer to be used to the top of joisted construction and under timber floors.

Db joist strips give added impact protection to db overlays when installed as an impact barrier along the run of a joist in a timber party floor. Deck joist tape generally comes in two materials asphalt which is the same material as tar paper and butyl which is a synthetic rubber. The hush 10 joist insulation strip is a thin solution that is simply stapled to the top of the joists to reduce impact sound transmission through timber internal floors. Joist protectadeck is a high grade flexible pvc that protects joists from severe rotting and effectively seals around nails beneath decks. As with felt strips the tape works as a moisture barrier preventing water that collects on the tops of the beams or joists from infiltrating the wood. Sealant provides more comprehensive protection than deck joist tape as it involves protecting the entire joist by coating it in deck sealant.
