Ruby Array Filter Nil

Shift is a array class method which removes the first element of self and returns it or nil if the array is empty. Flatten is a array class method which returns the flattened the array and returns nil if there is no modification required syntax. Always remember in ruby true false and nil are objects not numbers whenever ruby requires a boolean value then nil behaves like false and values other than nil or false behave like true.
